It was the result of a 5.8 quake that originated in VA and WOW! There's a first time for everything right!? In my 30 years, I can not remember EVER feeling anything like it or even hearing about it. I also spoke with persons older than myself and they too say they've never experienced anything like it.

Sometime in June or July of last year there was apparently an earthquake overnight that some MD residents said woke them from their slumber but this bitch hit during the day, during work hours, mall shopping and nap time!

My personal experience? I was lying in the bed preparing for my afternoon nap and I felt the bed rumble! I honestly thought I was experiencing some sort of paranormal activity because I mean... we don't get earthquakes in Baltimore right!? I ignored it as I often do when I think I'm experiencing paranormal activity but then the bed shook more and more and I literally rolled out of the bed onto the floor! I walked to the hallway and remembered something stupid about going in your bathroom during an earthquake and come to think of it, I think that was for tornadoes. Well, on my way to the bathroom, the floor was literally shaking so hard that it threw me into my parents bedroom. I climbed on the bed and said, "I'll just stay here for now."

I was experiencing the perfect mix of fear and exhilaration because I'd never felt a quake before! So after it was all said and done, I ran outside to chat with the neighbors, the conversation was very basic and along the lines of "WHAT THE FUCK?!" So I immediately took to social networking to report on my experience and to see what everyone else experienced. Almost immediately on Twitter there were comments like, "Chill out east coast, it wasn't that big of a deal" or "Are these people serious? 5.9 is nothing, shut up." At that moment I instantly knew how people from California felt when they saw there first snow and how we would quietly snicker about them like, "seriously? it's only snow."

Instead of people showing the least amount interest or saying something kindly stupid like "glad you had your first quake, join the club and hope everything is ok!" We were greeted with sarcasm and dismissive comments. It kinda irritated me actually and I figured I'd bitch about it here.

How was your earthquake experience?

What's So Wrong With Being Alone?

I must be the only person I know that's kinda okay with being single. Sure, sometimes I get a little lonely, I see most of my friends moving on in "faux relationships" pretending to be happy and that they've "found the love of their life" and I'm okay with that.

I guess the problem is that most people don't have "something else." And that something else could be anything from a hobby or friends, or just random things to do on their spare time. I personally love reading about what's going on in the world and our country in particular. I love listening to music. Watching movies and my major television shows, drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes, finding random places to have lunch dates with my friends, spending blood pressure-rising time with my family, increasing my knowledge in certain areas and just... listening to people. Trying to get a better understanding of why people are the way they are is like, my newest favorite thing to do.

I love to write stories! Stories that I'd never share with most of you (or any) but I like to keep my creative juices flowing. I like people watching, I like telling my friends about my people watching. I like to think about where my life will be in 10 years or 5 years. I like to think about new ideas for a small business... most never pan out but it doesn't stop me from thinking of new ones! Most people won't admit this one but... I love sleeping! I love everything about it: the coziness of my bed, the cool breeze from the ceiling fan. I love to dream. I love where my mind takes me when I'm not consciously in control. There's nothing better than an active imagination.

Now, most of this might now sound not exciting to you but guess what... you're probably thinking about who you're going to spend the rest of you life or why the guy or girl from the bar hasn't called you back yet. Or why that person that you slept with on the first night is now ignoring your calls. You're probably saying "is it Friday yet?" because you hate your job. You're probably wondering and stressing about all of this stuff that makes your life completely un-enjoyable, like being single. I'm sorry but... I'm not concerned about that.

We've got one life people. There's no after-life. There's no "meeting on the other side" so please, start making the most out of this life. Stop worrying about falling in love. And... is it really "falling in love" if it's a manufactured love? Is constantly being on the prowl for your "life-mate" falling in love? No, it's manufacturing a situation where you can try to make somebody like you enough so they never leave you.

That seems a bit creepy to me...

-G

Spotify!

Ok, if you haven't gotten on the Spotify bandwagon yet, I just wanna know WHY!? Let me explain a little bit about what Spotify is:

Spotify is basically the best of iTunes and Pandora all rolled up in one. If you're familiar with iTunes then you're aware that you have to purchase content and there's a pretty decent sized library to do so. Pandora is basically a "music-matching" service that matches the types of music that you like based on genre, artist or song choice. You have no control over which songs Pandora will choose but 9 times out of 10, you're generally pretty satisfied with the selection.

Spotify, combines these two otherwise awesome services all into one application. If you decide that you would like to listen to 'Cinderella Man' by Eminem, you type it in and Spotify streams the song to your PC via their desktop based application. If you decide, "wow, that was a good song", you can just as easily type in 'Recovery' by Eminem and listen to the entire album! You can listen as much as you'd like to the same song or album but with such a VAST library of content, I'm not sure why you'd want to.

To date, the only album that I've requested and is not available is '21' by Adele and I'm not quite sure why it's not available but it's driving me absolutely insane!

Anyway, if you have a smartphone, namely iOS, Android or Blackberry device, you can carry your content with you on the go! BUT, you have to pay a fee of $9.99/month to do so. Now, I purchase at least 1 new album per month so the monthly charge is waaaaay worth it to me. But don't forget, it's 100% free to continue listening on your computer.

The only downside (if you wanna call it that) with paying the $9.99/month is the moment that you stop subscribing, the content is no longer available via your smart phone device to stream. However, as soon as your re-subscribe, all of your previous content becomes available almost immediately so technically you never lose anything.

The other cool thing about using your smartphone is that you can choose your favorite songs or albums for "offline listening." Basically, what that means is Spotify makes the content available for you to listen to via your smartphone without using any of your monthly data. How awesome is that?! It's pretty frickin' cool.

Anyway, Spotify is only available via invitation for the time being, so if you're interested in checking it out, let me know and I'll shoot you an invite.

-G

What's the problem with eBooks?

So. Apparently there are people who have big issues with the onslaught of iBooks/eBooks. People are saying that the "tradition of reading will fade away" if we embrace eBooks. While i sympathize and understand their concerns, I think they are reading (no pun intended) way too much into this.

The tradition of reading will never go away, I don't think society will allow it. Some of life's greatest achievements, discoveries and experiences are found in traditional books. There will always be people who prefer the touch of a book, the smell of a new hardcover and the admiration of their collection on a shelf. Our culture will always have those people and I don't see them fading away much like the vinyl enthusiasts. You may have to search for a new album on vinyl, but you can certainly find it. CD's are still around, they may not sell the way they used to, but you can still buy a CD.They are no more expensive than they were 5years ago, if anything, they are slightly less expensive.

Our society has a knack for not embracing the next big thing and sometimes with good reason. I think there is an issue with everything being electronic with no paper back-up. I think there is an issue to only be trained on computers and not have the basic knowledge of a typewriter or how to spell without the assistance of a computer. These things are problems, we cannot control how corporations choose to run their businesses but we can control the reach of our own intelligence.

Don't blame technology for moving forward, embrace it. Be objective, but make sure those objections are valid and intelligent and by all means, if you don't prefer eBooks/iBooks, don't buy them.

Oh yes, I am so sold!

Oh yes, the day has come and gone but it still feels so very good! I have waited quite sometime for Apple to unveil the no longer mythical iPad! I just got done watching the keynote presentation and yes, Apple will probably be funneling more money out of my pocket in a few months.

Laptops are easy for travel, they are convenient, productive and pretty much lightweight (if you have a MAC). But honestly, whenever I find myself out with my laptop, very rarely am I doing anything besides surfing the net, listening to music or browsing through photos so the full power of my laptop is not needed at that time. I love my iPhone but looking at photos can sometimes be a little disappointing just because of the miniature size, browsing the web is upsetting for the same reason.

The perfect device to enjoy these features is the iPad. I have been in the market for an E-Reader for the past few months but found the Kindle® slightly unappealing and along comes the iPad!

We all know that I am a tech baby and a proud tech baby! I can appreciate the feel of an actual book, I can appreciate the visual appeal of a physical bookshelf... but thousands of books at the palm of my hand?! I can't resist. In my never-ending quest to become more green, this is another great opportunity! No longer do I have to contribute to the waste of paper for book manufacturing AND the books are fairly less expensive in digital format.

Looking over all of the blogs today I saw nothing but complaints, the iPad was either not what was expected or was exactly what was expected and people were disappointed. My answer to that is DON'T BUY ONE! Shut the fuc* up and let the rest of us "idiots" enjoy it. The same goes out to people like my dad who are so disappointed that Laser Disc and VHS are no longer around. You can feel free to continue watching your movies on VHS (good luck in the next few years getting newer titles, if that time hasn't already come) and I'll stick to my BluRay HD movies.

I think there are things that we can all appreciate about the past but this is the present and your medium is D E A D so move on. Whoppers from Burger King don't taste the same as they used to but you don't see me complaining do you? I just don't eat them anymore. Pepsi and Coke don't taste the same anymore, so I limit my intake. Sitcoms aren't as funny as they used to be so I don't watch them anymore and I think you get the point. We move on and embrace new technology while keeping a healthy memory of what was. Technology will move along, with or without you.

Why I love iTunes...

There are those that can argue and are probably right to some degree that digital music possesses none of the quality of a good ole fashioned record or CD even. I love listening to music. I love singing in my room when no one is around, I love singing in the car with a cup of Dunkin Donuts® coffee in my hand swerving in and out of traffic and smiling at the lady in the vehicle next to me. As long as I can hear some degree of instrument mixed in with vocals, I am good to go! So, these people that speak of the "missing quality" from mp3's and AAC's (which are actually pretty good) I say BOO HOO! Feel completely free to continue listening to your records and 8tracks and whatever it is that you do, I will continue LEGALLY purchasing and downloading my electronic files.

For one, I no longer have to own a CD rack, thank GOD! All of my files are magically stored and quite beautifully organized on my laptop computer and backed up via Time Capsule. When purchasing via iTunes, most CD's have the Digital Booklet that comes with the purchase of any album so I can still look at the lyrics when I'm not sure what the hell I'm singing.

The digital downloads are typically a little cheaper than if you purchased the album from a retail location. The only album that I've paid more than $10 for recently was Robin Thicke's new collection, which was worth every penny.

You can also purchase MP3 files from Amazon.com which are automatically transferred into your iTunes music library and just so you're aware, Amazon is sometimes cheaper than iTunes.

Digital downloads are environmentally friendly! I feel so green when I purchase a digital download because I haven't contributed to the waste of paper and plastic to sell the media. Yes, it's a major reason of why I got into the digital market in the first place.

If you want the physical feel, you can always burn your files onto a CD and take it with you on your travels and when you burn as MP3, you can get as many (sometimes more) as 80 songs on one CD! It's amazing right? Right now I am dancing in my chair to Madonna's "Hung Up" and I am quite pleased with the sound quality (just thought I'd mention that).

I also have the option of buying a single song from an album and coming back months later to "Complete my Album" which basically means, you can buy the remainder of the album minus the price you paid for the single song you purchased previously. So, no more buying single CD's at Sam Goody and then having to spend $14 for the whole album!

Also with digital, I don't have to worry about dragging along that dreadful CD case whenever I'm on the road, most of my song library is located right on my iPhone! Now depending on your car stereo speakers, you may suffer some quality issues but let me tell you, when I was breaking the sound barrier in the Charger, there was nothing better than my $13 auxillary cord and my iPhone! With random play, artists select random play and the Genius playlist, I never got bored.

So, to those who just can't stand the new age of music I say, stick to what you love but let the rest of us enjoy the new age. Times change, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worst, I personally view this as a music revolution and I appreciate the technology! 'Nuff Said.

--Greg

Uh oh, look who's blogging... again. :)

Wow, I actually think that one day I will stick to blogging and never stop but here I am again so who cares right?!

There are plenty of things to talk about so stay tuned!

The next best thing...

What is it about waiting for the "next best thing?" It gave me chills: his words, his tone and his seemingly determined spirit. Hearing this, I can't help but wonder where the President's motivation has gone. We all know that politicians utter the words that we want to hear in order to get into office. HOWEVER, let us not forget that we are the ones who voted them into office. Our words, cries, pleas and spirits should continue to inspire them to do what they were intended.

I think President Obama, his administration and all other politicians need to be reminded who actually runs this country. Sometimes I think that we have forgotten. If you do not allow your voice to be heard then it is lost. If you do not write to your local congressman, attend community meetings or get involved in any other way, you are lost. Waiting for someone to "get the job done" for us is no longer an option. Every voice needs to be heard!

The American people have got to wake up and let the 1% who have run this country into the ground know that their time has come and gone. The first thing you get is additional hard drive space, Snow Leopard gave me BACK 17GB of HD space! Let's see a Windows OS do that! The second thing you notice obviously is speed: programs run faster, Safari (Web Browser) is much faster. I have experienced a slower opening time for applications but after the initial opening, if I go back and close and re-open, it opens just fine! I could go on and on but I'll stop now.

<a href="http://www.apple.com/" style-color:#003366;="">Apple, Inc

I decided to call into Apple today about my programs not opening as fast after the install of Snow Leopard. The first thing you get is a LIVE OPERATOR who directs your call. I'll say it again, "LIVE OPERATOR." I almost didn't know what to do because I was so lost, I've called in for support for my iPhone before but never for my MAC. Very courteous lady directed me to the correct department and the friendly tech helped me figured out what was going on in under 5 minutes. Fancy talking to a technician who actually knows about tech stuff! I continue to be impressed.

<a href="http://www.apple.com/iphone" style-color:#003366;="">iPhone MMS

I have a supernatural feeling that the MMS capability for the iPhone and our sister device the iPod Touch is literally imminent. I say this because I synced my iPhone today and iTunes advised me that it would check for the next update on 9/2. Usually when you sync your iPhone, it gives you about a 10-14 day window of when it will be searching for another update. The last time I experienced this, there was an update the next day. I know all of you iPhone haters are saying, "How the hell does a $500 phone not have MMS?" I have no argument, this should have been on the 1st Gen iPhone (which is now not compatible with MMS) release 3 years ago. It is a basic feature and Apple & AT&T are now experiencing the fallout from their bad planning: About 4 separate lawsuits have been filed against AT&T and Apple for false advertisements, even though AT&T has long ago announced that their "network" was just not ready when the new iPhone was released and that everyone would have MMS capability late summer. I personally don't mind the wait and think that the lawsuits are silly but hey, people spend money on a product, they want it to work. It's kinda like buying a refrigerator and the sales person telling you that the freezer won't work for a few months.

<a href="http://www.spotify.com/" style-color:#003366;="">Spotify

Spotify is a new music platform, not similar to Limewire and Mozilla for the simple fact that it is 100% legal! It has been around in Europe for quite some time now and is quickly making it's move to the US. Apple approved the iPhone app for Spotify today if I am not mistaken which is weird considering that iTunes is the largest retailer in the US for music, I'd think they'd have a problem with a platform that offered free music.

At the release, Spotify will be by Invitation Only (similar to GMAIL when it launched) so you'll have to be invited or wait until it's openly available. Will I use Spotify? It will strongly depend on the quality of the files, unlike most people, I don't just want music because it's FREE, I want it because it sounds good. As of right now, I am not sure if the files will be MP3's or AAC or whatever, we'll have to be patient.

That's it for now, I'm going back to nursing my cold... more like KILLING IT!!!

G

Facebook 3.0, 'Nuff Said

Well, I truly most have been off my game today because the much anticipated release of Facebook 3.0 for the iPhone & iPod Touch was released today around 5:50pm. I just checked for the update about 20 minutes ago and it was obviously ready for me to "fool around with."

The 3.0 update is complimentary (as is the app itself) to all iPhone and iPod Touch users who can access the AppStore (who can't right?). This update is not only about bug fixes and patches and so forth but we now have a completely new, user friendly interface as depicted in the photo above. Tons of new features and some are:

Landscape Mode A big update for this app. Since the release of the iPhone 3G it seems that more and more apps have the landscape ability, which for me depending on which app it is can be a plus or minus. For those of you that don't know what "landscape mode" is, it is using the iPhone "horizontally." That's basically it.

Complete Photo Management It was a pet-peeve of mine that before I could not make a photo my profile picture from my phone. That is now possible. You are now able to zoom into photos, before the photos were stationary. As well as "liking" posts, you can now "like" photos as well.

News Feed The news feed is now almost identical to that of the actual Facebook website.

Built in web-browser

Call your friends via Facebook This is a very cool option. Not only can you call your friends if their phone numbers are listed on Facebook but you can also text them. Nice!

For those users who have a 3GS, you can now upload video directly to Facebook. Sweet!

The general usability of the whole application is much nicer and faster as well. I have noticed very short loading times for photos, opening the app and navigating around the various pages. For anyone who owns and iPhone/iPod touch and has a Facebook account, this app is a must!

Just When You Thought It Was HORRIBLE!

I have to admit; every time that I am ready to give up on Hollywood... they drag me back in! Here's my list of this Summer's & early Fall's "gotta see from major productions":

Halloween 2, directed by Rob Zombie, Lions Gate, Release Date: August 28, 2009

Ok, Lions Gate isn't necessarily classified as "major" just yet but they have definitely made a mark from themselves. Taking on a lot of movies that other production companies wanted absolutely nothing to do with, such as great films like, American Psycho with Christina Bale, Monsters Ball with Halle Berry and Billy Bob, The Punisher, Fahrenheit 9/11, Open Water, The Haunting in Connecticut and the list goes on. We have to thank them for giving these films a chance because some of them are awesome films... such as Halloween and I am sure Halloween 2 will be no disappointment.

Rob Zombie has not only mastered the art of "re-imagining" but has given it a new face. That's what I loved most about the first, although the characters were familiar, I don't think any of us were prepared for the grueling story that was about to be told. The insight into Michael Myers childhood was up until then untold (or told badly), this version explains the fucked up guy in the white mask that we have all came to love and adore. If you're a horror movie buff, check this film out!

Gamer, directed by Mark Neveldine, Lions Gate, Release Date: September 4, 2009

Apparently I am just drawn to Lions Gate films. I had no idea this was a Lions Gate production until I looked it up! Another film that probably would not have been touched otherwise if not for Lions Gate. Bringing Gerard Butler into the picture (literally) is just a bonus. Let's not forget about Kyra Sedgwick... I love this woman. I had never seen her in anything, other than knowing she was Kevin Bacon's wife, until The Closer. Gamer is a high-powered action film that appears to be set in the future where gamers are in control of actual people. These people are for the most part I believe, prison inmates. From viewing the trailers and reading the synopsis, I know this is my kind of flick! I don't wanna go into too much detail because I'd like for you to come to your own conclusions, but this is a must see for me!

ZombieLand, directed by Ruben Fleischer, Columbia Pictures/Sony Pictures, Release Date: October 9, 2009

The first non-Lions Gate film so far. Ok, it's a comedy and I strongly dislike comedies because most of them are not actually funny. But I love zombies. If this is anything like Shawn of the Dead, I am sure I won't be disappointed.

Set in a world over-run by zombies, ZombieLand follows a few characters in different towns who have all managed to survive. Their un-dying (no pun intended) will-to-live, bands them together in an effort to keep zombie teeth from crunching down on their nice, hot flesh. I'll definitely be checking this one out!

That's actually it, not a huge list, all of the other films that I want to see are by independent film studios... just not a lot going in Hollywood nowadays. But like I said, they surprise me every now and again. And honestly, the first 2 films are definitely under an independent film label, but Lions Gate is getting up there and as long as they keep up the good work, I'll keep supporting.

Thanks for reading and as always, please leave comments and suggestions.

"I hate you!!!"... but why?

Why hate? What does it accomplish? Does hating someone ever really make you feel better? Does it make you feel like that person is more sorry than they really are? Does it make you feel like you are punishing that person and they feel every minute of it?

Interestingly enough, I came to the conclusion some time ago, that hating someone really did me no good. That FIRE that was fueling within me was felt by me and me only. I was the one having trouble sleeping at night. I was the one who thought about how "I was wronged" all day, not them and 9 times out of 10... they had no idea how I even felt! I heard something today that rang true about this, I happened to catch a clip of Ghost of Mississippi. I didn't see the whole film, but one of the characters (Whoopi Goldberg) said something that rang true and made me remember to put out that fire, "When you hate, the only person that suffers is you. Most people don't know you hate them and the others don't care." I mean, how true is that?

Why do we keep a "torch" lit for these people who are so obviously not worthy of us? I don't say that in the sense that we are inherently better than each other, but that when someone wrongs us, we determine how we deal with it, not them. As we grow and continue to learn, we realize that we must get ahold of our emotions, deal with our problems without involving others and not causing ourselves undue heartbreak. It is a hard lesson because we are all only human, it's something I strive for everyday but find that the embers within me continue to spark....

The Closer - Season Finale

If you're a Closer fan, don't forget that tonight is the summer season finale! I'm actually not too excited because I'm always sad to see this show go away. I kinda wish it could be like a soap opera and just run ALL YEAR LONG! I know that's asking too much but hey, what's a boy to do? Check out a preview of the finale below. See ya!

Snow Leopard

As you can probably tell by my new clean background, I am EXTREMELY excited about the updated release of Apple's already awesome operating system. I just love the names that Apple comes up with, they are transitioning from Leopard to Snow Leopard. So simple, but yet so... sexy.

The packaging is even sexy. There are some places I'd like to take that Snow Leopard. So anyway, it releases on the 28th of this month, it is retailing for $29 for customers who are upgrading from Leopard and is only $9.95 for customers who purchased an Apple desktop/laptop from the online store after June. That's awesome! I just happen to be one of those customers by the way.

Microsoft can peddle their free release of Windows 7 all they want, I wouldn't touch a PC with a 10 foot pole, not after my transition to a MAC.

Getting out of your own way....

I had a really interesting discussion with a friend tonight about, "getting out of your own way."

This is a really important question that I think we all need to ask ourselves concerning different aspects of our lives:

Why do I not exercise everyday when I know I'm supposed to?

Why do I gorge myself on food that is so obviously bad for me?

What keeps me from obtaining that happy ending that I so desire?

They're not really easy questions when you actually sit down to think about them because it involves questioning and incriminating yourself... something we never want to do. To incriminate ourselves is to place blame on ourselves and why the hell would we ever want to do that? Why would we want to realize that even though our eye is on the prize, we are the reasons that our reach is never far enough.

I look at myself and my own past experiences and struggle with the things that have "theoretically" caused me to be the way I am but at the end of the day; who is to blame? At this point, certainly not the ex, not my parents, not the friends that never answer the phone and not Corporate America. Most of those things can no longer be "blamed", they can no longer be considered because all there is now is me and my own bullshit.

We need to take ourselves off that pedestal that we hold ourselves so high up on and take a step back onto the concrete of reality. You can argue with me that everything is peachy keen with your existence but I know differently. I know that deep inside all of us that we search everyday for more and for one reason or another never find it. The most common denominator in it all is "I." I am the reason that I fail. I am the reason that I am sad. I am the reason that I'm overweight. I am the reason people find me abrasive and rude. I am the reason why people disrespect me.

Michael Moore... how I love thee.

Ok, so a friend pointed out to me the other day that EVERYONE has an agenda. How true. But it doesn't make me love Michael Moore any less. If only for the pure fact that he'll put the shit out there. I quite frankly don't care that he's gettin' paid to put the dirty laundry out, actually, I'm glad he's getting paid for it.

I've seen quite a few Michael Moore films and each one leaves me feeling... a little disturbed quite frankly. His films are just like the Bible, you can scan through and pick out the parts that you find most relevant for you OR you can go through the whole thing and make a conclusion for yourself. I won't be going to see this in theaters but I will definitely be patiently await the DVD release.

The Book That Shall Remain Nameless

So, I downloaded a new app for my phone today, NPR. I like to get my news through several different sources so this was not unusual for me. The unusual thing is, built into the app is also live streaming for NPR talk radio. I had never listened to NPR before so I decided to give it a go.

There was an author on there promoting her book I am assuming (even though the book was released over a year ago) and right off the bat I found the conversation disturbing.

They were discussing how alcoholism is on the rise in London and how people travel to Prague just to get drunk because alcohol is apparently pretty expensive in London. It wasn't the topic of conversation that disturbed me but the disapproval that the author had for the behavior. I'm thinking to myself based on her point of view, "Ok, they're just getting around to being drunks and we've been drunks here FOREVER." Although we realize that is not the case. (Excuse the following because I have not read the book and have no need to read it but based off the points of discussion from the author, the topic was obviously a promotional tool to sell her book and for that reason, I care not to read it).

This is a problem that I have with general America. For some reason, we tend to think that "our shit don't stink." When the fact of the matter is, we got some pretty bad funk going on over here which is evident in more ways than one.

I just found some of the things she said unbelievable! For instance, she said something along the lines that "these guys get so drunk that they forget their hotel room numbers, can't find their way home" (not an exact quote but pretty close). Do you realize that this is going on everyday in America? Do you realize that college campuses are riddled with these types of people everyday? There are just under 2000 alcohol related deaths on college campuses every year and that number continues to climb. Let's not leave out the average American drinker who pummels down way too many drinks and gets in the car and drives home. As recent as 2008, it was reported that there were 85,000 alcohol related deaths in America alone. Whose shit don't stink?

Whatever. My point is, when do we stop condemning others when we are to be condemned for the same behaviors? I must apologize because my jab is not necessarily directed at this author but at the sense of "superiority" that we Americans have come to adopt. Enough already, get off of your high horse and shut the hell up!

Michael Cera Flips Out

This is the funniest shit.
